New Jersey Devils Acquire Jacob Markstrom From The Calgary Flames...Did Tom Fitzgerald Get The Right Goalie?

Well, it finally happened. The New Jersey Devils obtained a goalie with a respectable track history. Jacob Markstrom was acquired by the organization in exchange for Kevin Bahl, a 2025 first-round draft pick (top-10 protected), and 31.25% of his salary was retained. Markstrom led the league in shutouts during the 2021-22 season, finished second in the Vezina Trophy race, & was also an all-star. Even though getting a goalie was imperative, the job is still not finished for Tom Fitzgerald.
