Ep 247: Is Your Body Controlling You?

Ep 247: Is Your Body Controlling You?

Start Your Transformation Now I know you’ve probably heard the phrase, “You’re not a human being having a spiritual experience, you’re a spiritual being having a human experience.” Even though this makes perfect sense to most people, they don’t really deep dive into it and explore the deeper meaning of it. Let’s approach this from the position of Duality of Being. You’re a dual being, both mind, and body, yet most of us live from only body and just casually think about mind and spirit. This being stated, the big question in this episode is – Is Your Body Controlling You? And, the big question is, “What is you?” Are you your body or your mind, or better asked, which part of you is the ‘bigger” part of you? The bigger part of you is your mind, yet we often let our body control us, and we give all our power to our body. Let me give you a metaphor…your pinkie. Does your mind control your body, and your body control your pinkie, or does your pinkie finger control the totality of you? Let’s be scientific, your brain makes 95% of your decisions but are the decisions made by “you” or your brain? And, you are not your brain. Let me give you another metaphor. When you go on vacation and rent a car. After you do your travels you return your car and go home and the same with you. Your body is your car, and you are driving it, it is not driving you, yet most people make the totality of their life their body. When they do this they are living from the smallest part of who they are. So, back to your brain. Your brain is full of chemicals and these chemicals influence your hormones, your moods, and just about all aspects of your body, but, and here is where most people lose track of the bigger picture. You are not your body, you are first a mind. In this episode, I dig deeper into this concept and how you can start working from the higher part of yourself and not the lower part of you, which is your body. Transformational Takeaway: You are not your body. Do not let your body control you. Ep 46: How The Undeserving Olympian Transformed His Life

Start Your Transformation Now Ever felt like you weren’t good enough? No matter what you did, how many awards, how many titles or how high you climbed you just haven’t felt good enough? If you’ve ever felt that way you’re going to love this podcast. Well, meet Jason, an Olympic silver medalist. Despite winning a silver medal at the Olympics Jason didn’t believe he was worthy of the medal because someone his wife worked with told him “that he didn’t deserve the medal.” As you’ll hear, Jason did deserve the medal he won yet he let one person derail him for years. Hear his story of how he got beyond the opinion of others. In this episode we talk about: [9:32] What we deserve in life [11:26] The stories we tell ourselves [26:46] Contribution in life over achievement [38:41] Why it doesn’t matter how good we are [39:31] Letting go of judgement [40:57] Persistence without exception And much, much more. This was a fun interview and it will resonate with most people. Jason is an Olympic medalist and until we met he still didn’t feel like he was “good enough” in the eyes of many people. He is no longer that person. Listen to how he put all the low self-worth behind him. Transformational Takeaway: There are two of them: One, Stop worrying what other people think, no matter what you do, people are going to judge you and two…life is all a story. Ep 43: Nothing Works In Your Life Without This

Ep 43: Nothing Works In Your Life Without This

Start Your Transformation Now Ever wondered why you’re not getting the results you want in the gym, in your business and perhaps all the areas of your life? There could be many reasons but a huge reason is talked about in this episode, self-integrity. Are you being 100% integral with your word to yourself relative to your desired outcomes? Do you eat the way you say you’ll eat? Do you go to the gym when you say you will go? Do you lead generate for your business like you say you will? Do you do what you say you’ll do when you say you’ll do it? If you just said no to the above questions you’re going to love this episode because it’s all about self-integrity! It’s all about doing what you say you’re going to do when you say you’re going to do it. In this episode I discuss: [2:46] How you can have a 100-500% increase in your productivity when you keep your word to yourself. [7:08] How I used to lie to myself about integrity (and you probably do too). [22:44] How we speak our lives into existence. [23:12] Why not keeping your word affects your self-esteem. And, of course, much much more. Self-Integrity is VITAL to your success in any activity and according to a Harvard business professor who studies it, it’s one of the most over-looked concepts in business and life. When we’re out of self-integrity, nothing works, we keep failing over and over in many areas of life that we think are important to us. Let me rephrase the last paragraph, things work in life but they rarely work the way we want when we’re out of integrity. Transformational Takeaway: Be 100% impeccable with your word to yourself. Ep 42: Transformational Story - From Sick To Healthy With The Power Of The Mind

Start Your Transformation Now The greatest pharmacy in the world is right between your two ears and Katie helps you discover that in this episode. Just last year Katie was on thyroid and hormone medications and she was also suffering from depression, anxiety and panic attacks. Today she’s free of all that. How? Easy….she learned how to use the power of her mind to heal herself. In this episode Katie shares: [6:44] How she went from sick to feeling good [7:18] The exact mental strategies she used to heal her body [24:08] How she talked her body into wellness [30:45] How she kicked the anxiety, depression and panic attacks And, of course, much much more… Personally, I think this is a vital episode. We live in a world of over-prescribed, over-medicated,sick, unhealthy and unhappy people when the answer to our complete well-being is in our own mind. Transformational Takeaway: You can use your mind to heal yourself. Let's Connect:  Instagram Facebook YouTube LinkedIn  LIKED THE EPISODE? Ep 41: Are You Being 100% Responsible For Your Life?

Ep 41: Are You Being 100% Responsible For Your Life?

Start Your Transformation Now You’ve heard it since you were a kid, “Be responsible,” however, have you ever sat with that concept and fully explored its meaning in your own life? Responsibility is a master key in life and what you create is what you’re 100% responsible for creating or not. One of my clients once said, “Wow, when I live from being 100% responsible for my life I feel like I can do anything.” He embodied the characteristic and he 10 X his business growth in 3 years. And, what he did, you can do! In this episode I talk about: [5:55] Where you’ll be next year is 100% contingent on what you’re being responsible for [12:22] To what degree are you responsible for your own personal evolution [14:04] Why blame is victim mentality [16:09] The relationship between success and responsibility [19:05] What victim mentality looks like And, what 100% responsibility looks like. Harry Truman said it best, “The buck stops here,” and when you embody that characteristic and way of BEing, your life will change dramatically. Transformational Takeaway: What happens in your life is what you’re responsible for making happen. Let's Connect:  Instagram Facebook YouTube LinkedIn  LIKED THE EPISODE? Ep 40: Transformational Story: From Depression To Happiness

Ep 40: Transformational Story: From Depression To Happiness

Start Your Transformation Now We’re trying a new format for the next month on Mondays. We’re calling it Transformational Monday. In this first episode I interview Jennifer, she’s been a student of mine for the past six months. As you’ll hear, when she started with me she was depressed, so much so, she could barely get out of bed and had no energy to grow her business. Her life was not in a good place, mentally, physically and emotionally. This podcast is not just “Jennifer’s story,” I ask her very specific questions about how she went from very depressed to being in a great and happy place today and how she maintains that. (I think these will resonate with a lot of people.) My favorite part of her story is the “one thing” that shifted in her that pulled her out of her depression. I also think this will resonate with a lot of people. Important. When Jennifer talks about her depression, at no point do either of us infer clinical depression versus emotional funk, etc. I’m not a licensed medical or health care professional and I do not and did not dispense any kind of medical or psychological therapy. If you’ve ever been in a severe funk, you just can’t find the energy or motivation to get on with and build life, and if you’ve ever just been stuck in a “bad place,” you’re going to love this episode. Transformational Takeaway: Live in the present and be in the NOW. Let's Connect:  Instagram Facebook YouTube LinkedIn  LIKED THE EPISODE? Ep 39: Do You Have It In You?

Ep 39: Do You Have It In You?

Start Your Transformation Now When people say, “Do you have it IN you,” they're usually talking about resolve and grit and the fortitude to accomplish something. I’m going a different direction with this episode. The Dalai Lama said, “If there is no anger in you, you cannot be angry.” The same applies to every area of your life. What’s in you is what you create. Poverty, wealth, health, poor health… it’s all created by what’s “in you” mentally! In this episode I talk about: [9:25] Identity [10:57] Identity [24:17] Identity Yes, I intended to state the word “IDENTITY” three times. What’s in your unconscious identity is what’s in your life. Sun Tzu said, “Victorious warriors win first and then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win.” Anything you want in life you must first be in your internal world. Even if you think you understand the concept of “identity,” give this episode a listen, as I think you might hear some things you’ve not heard before. Transformational Takeaway: If you don’t have it on the outside, it’s because you’re not yet that on the inside Let's Connect:  Instagram Facebook YouTube LinkedIn  LIKED THE EPISODE?
