Ep 259: What Are You Worth?

Ep 259: What Are You Worth?

Start Your Transformation Now We have talked for seven weeks now about identity and we have talked about some external things and ways of BEing but what about internally? What about your self-worth as it relates to your identity? What is your intrinsic worth? What do you think you are worth? Do you determine your self-worth on your own knowing of yourself or do you and have you let the world determine your worth and value? Does society’s perceptions of you help you determine your own value and worth? I talk about a lot of things in this episode but I also talk about being gay and how that completely annihilated my own sense of self-value and worth earlier in life. I learned from my parents what my value was and was not in the world and the same probably goes for you as well. Like I asked before, do you determine your own worth, or does the world do it for you, and, if you said you do it yourself, as you 100% certain of that? The world overall, as a whole will teach you to find little value in yourself because people can only find value in you based on the value they can find in themselves. And, most people struggle with self-worth issues. I want to go deep inside you, at least with a question: How do you FEEL about yourself? Not what do you think of yourself but how do you feel about yourself? Transformational Takeaway: How you feel about yourself is the degree to which you value yourself and if you don’t feel good about yourself it’s time to raise your self-worth. Ep 82: Q & A - How Do I Stop Doubting Myself?

Ep 82: Q & A - How Do I Stop Doubting Myself?

Start Your Transformation Now I was going to ask you if you have ever doubted yourself but instead, I’ll simply ask, “How much do you doubt yourself?” Self-doubt is so rampant and almost universal that it’s akin to a global plague. Almost all people, all cultures around the world – people doubt themselves incessantly. It’s tragic and self-destructive. So, given my last comment, I picked Mari’s question this week, “How do I stop doubting myself?” I knew it would be huge for a lot of people. In this episode I talk about: [1:23] The single thought that causes self-doubt (you have to listen to discover it) [4:03] What uncertainty is and what fuels it [6:23] What causes “paralysis by analysis.” [7:04] How “good, better and best” choices lead to self-doubt [9:28] How and why you can “re-decide” [13:33] The subjectivity of “right and wrong” [21:11] The “24 Hour Rule” I use in my own business and life [25:21] And, the single, and easy, solution to getting past self-doubt. I’m grateful for Mari asking this question because when I saw it, it immediately brought up past memories about myself and I knew I could help you overcome self-doubt. Transformational Takeaway: Stop working from “right-wrong, good-bad” thinking. Mentioned Resources: Master Thought Formula Let's Connect:  Instagram Facebook YouTube LinkedIn  LIKED THE EPISODE? Ep 81: You Cannot Outperform Yourself

Ep 81: You Cannot Outperform Yourself

Start Your Transformation Now How often have you set goals or wanted something badly only to find that you fail over and over in achieving it? If you can say yes to the line above, you’re not alone, this is the pattern for most people and the cause is simple, people are setting goals for things that are not in their self-image. People are trying to perform at levels that are outside their self-image and subconscious identity. Many years ago I remember hearing the motivational speaker Les Brown said, “You cannot operate outside of the context of the vision you have for yourself.” Which basically means, you cannot be, do or have what you are not. In this episode I talk about: [1:24] What your self-image is and how it was created [2:21] The cycle of self-identity reinforcement [5:57] The illusion of self-image [15:53] Why you’ll never live up to your full potential [27:22] How to reverse engineer your life from the inside out [31:01] And, How nothing in your life will change until you change There’s an old Tibetan saying, “What you are on the inside is what you are on the outside.” If you want more in your life you must BE more in life. There is absolutely no escape from this concept. You must first be it in your mind before you can have it in your life. Transformational Takeaway: You cannot outperform yourself! Ep 80: Q & A - How Do I Increase My Self-worth?

Ep 80: Q & A - How Do I Increase My Self-worth?

Start Your Transformation Now This is a GREAT Monday question. Self-worth is something that billions of people struggle with and I say billions because nearly everyone I meet struggles with it in some way or another. Many compare themselves to others in several areas of life and often they then come up “not good enough.” People compare appearances, financial worth, social circles, careers, and achievements and then often they don’t measure up in comparison. And, this is a self-sabotaging trap because in many ways comparable in a huge cause of unhappiness. In this episode I talk about: [1:18] The concept of self-worth [2:57] Feeling worthy [10:39] The self-fulfilling cycle of low self-worth [16:29] Why you treat yourself like you perceive yourself [18:00] How we learn low self-worth [27:38] How so start changing your low self-worth [30:15] And, why self-worth is really about self-acceptance I do my best to create episodes that will resonate with most people and I’m sure that if you really get honest with yourself, there is at least one area of your life areas where you struggle with self-acceptance. When you accept yourself for who and what you are, life begins to transform. Transformational Takeaway: Just BE Mentioned Resources: Master Thought Formula The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D. Ep 79: You Are Not In Control, Your Brain Is.

Ep 79: You Are Not In Control, Your Brain Is.

Start Your Transformation Now Trying to control your life? Control others? Getting into control in general? HINT: You have NO control, even if you think you do. Like it or not, your brain does all the “controlling” for you and that’s not a matter of opinion, it’s scientifically proven. Stop fighting life and stop trying to control life, it’s a waste of time and energy. In this episode I talk about: [2:02] How science proves that you have zero control over your life [6:27] How your “habits” actually control you [7:39] Why your habits are what they are [9:15] How parts of your brain work against each other [13:48] Why your emotions are stronger than your thinking [20:46] Why your habits are more important than your beliefs And, like I say over and over…much more. If you want the next 12 months to be your happiest and best ever then stop thinking about what you want and start focusing on your habits. You don’t get what you want in life, you get your habits and for the most part, CONTROL is a habit. Transformational Takeaway: You’re not in charge and you have no control, your brain is in control, not “you.” Mentioned Resources: Master Thought Formula Episode 5: Why Your Bad Habits Are So Hard To Break Let's Connect:  Instagram Facebook YouTube LinkedIn  LIKED THE EPISODE? Ep 78: Q & A - How Do I Release And Forgive My Past?

Ep 78: Q & A - How Do I Release And Forgive My Past?

Start Your Transformation Now I’m sure that a lot of people can relate to this Monday’s episode. Shame from the past! It’s something that many people hang onto for far too long. It’s debilitating. In this episode I talk about: [2:02] The four ancient principles of “impeccability” [4:36] A past episode where I say that there is no such thing as time [8:18] How we can even let go of “huge” mistakes [12:17] Victim mentality [16:45] The perceived “benefits” of hanging onto shame from the past [22:43] And, I briefly talk about forgiveness When I say “let go of huge mistakes,” you’ll find an interesting story in this episode where I talk about a man who brought down Richard Nixon’s presidency. I’ll share with you what he told me about “huge mistakes.” I picked this question this week because so many people hold onto their past and they try to manage their lives from their past and there is no past, there is only now! Ep 77: Why Control Is An Illusion

Ep 77: Why Control Is An Illusion

Start Your Transformation Now Are you a control freak? Try to control everything and everyone? If so and you want to start letting that go you’re going to love this episode. As I mention in this episode, I think everyone has some degree of “control” in them, even if it’s just a little bit it’s still a survival mechanism. However, in this episode I am more specifically talking about people who are trying to control everything around them. In this episode I talk about: [2:15] Subtle degrees of control [4:13] The impossibility of controlling others [5:07] Controlling self and others [7:37] The paradox of trying to control external turmoil causes internal turmoil [12:42] Micromanagers and control And, how control is not always a control issue, it’s a whole different issue I wrap up this episode with a simple formula for letting go of control and I call it STD. No, not that kind of STD! The opposite of control is: Surrender, Trust and No Doubt (STD). As you may start noticing after this episode, when you STD, life becomes easier and you’re going to be so much happier and specifically, at peace. Transformational Takeaway: Control is an illusion, you can’t even control your thinking. When you get into control you are controlled by the illusion of control. Ep 76: Q & A - How Can I Be Rich And Spiritual At The Same Time?

Ep 76: Q & A - How Can I Be Rich And Spiritual At The Same Time?

Start Your Transformation Now I personally don’t get it, seriously, what is the negative relationship between spirituality and wealth? It’s interesting that so many people think that spirituality and wealth are incompatible. So, in this episode, I talk about this archaic belief and also about self-worth as it relates to money and wealth. Unlike the person who asked this question I hold the opposite belief, and that is, money and spirituality are absolutely compatible and you can easily have both. In this episode I talk about: [1:26] Why spirituality and money are not diametrically opposed [3:38] Why to be spiritual MEANS we can have and attract money [5:27] How all of life, which is “spiritual,” is about expansion and not contraction [10:32] How your self-worth determines your wealth [11:50] Why money is not a measure of self-value [21:43] How you can help more people become wealthy And, like I say in just about every episode synopsis, I’ll talk about a lot more. The world you live in will give you ANY amount of money you want, but only based on the value you hold for yourself. Transformational Takeaway: How can you be rich and spiritual at the same time? Easy, be rich and spiritual at the same time. Ep 75: Why Changing Your Mindset Never Works

Ep 75: Why Changing Your Mindset Never Works

Start Your Transformation Now If you’re like just about every person on the planet you’ve wanted something different in your life and you’ve tried to “change your mindset” to create new things in life, right? And, if you’re like most of the planet, a few days later you’ve found yourself right back in your old patterns and ways. Why does this happen? Easy, “changing your mindset” does not work. It’s a left-brain process and behavior and habits come from a different part of the brain, the reptilian brain…so, when trying to think our way to change we have two parts of our brain at odds and the reptilian brain will dominate and always win! In this episode I talk about why changing your mindset never works and I give you a path to what works and what to do instead. In this episode I talk about: [8:43] How changing mindset is a broken and ineffective strategy for change [9:44] How mindset is mental but behavior and habits and neurological [12:28] How different parts of your brain play different roles in change [16:12] Why self-deception and mindset are a trap [19:13] Why we must think from “higher levels” than mindset [21:03] And the roles of subconscious identity and brain-based habits As I say in this episode, the masses have been taught that if you want to get the change you just need to change your mindset and that is just not so…and your own life probably proves that! To create the lasting and permanent change you must understand how your brain works in the process of change and then work with your brain to facilitate the change. Transformational Takeaway: Changing mindset does not work – changing identity and habits does Mentioned Resources: “The Power of Your Subconscious Mind” – Joseph Murphy & “It Works!” book Master Thought Formula Disclosure: Some of the links above are affiliate links, meaning, at no additional cost to you, I will earn a small commission if you make a purchase.
