The Dallas Stars made a splash a week before the trade deadline by getting Calgary Flames defensemen Chris Tanev. Tanev was a sought after player for many teams looking for a physical, gritty player that gets the job done in his own zone. They've combined for just 17 points in 12 games and for the most part have not generated much offense. For a line that has dominated the past two seasons, we are not seeing enough productivity Dallas needs moving forward. With Stankoven being a great fit on the 3rd line, when Seguin gets back, if the top trio gets going again the Stars offense will be dangerous.
