Martin Jacobson is a Swedish poker player who can lay claim to one of the biggest comebacks in professional poker history with his victory at the 2014 World Series of Poker’s Main Event. Martin began playing poker when his dream of becoming a professional chef was derailed but since pivoting, he has not looked back. He is the first Swedish player to crack the top ten on the well-respected Global Poker Index (GPI) leader board, broke a record by reaching the final table in three main events of the European Poker Tour in one season, won an Online Qualifier of the Year Award, and once finished runner up as the EPT Player of the Year. A man of many interests, Martin resides in London training his body and mind to reach new levels of performance, enjoying the outdoors and physical activities, practicing mixed martial arts, teaching poker online, angel investing, and of course, cooking. Martin advocates a balanced holistic lifestyle and to focus on whatever makes you happy.
