Soul Talk with Ryan: A Conversation with Martin Soaries, founder of The Basketball Society

Martin Soaries is the founder, editor, head skills trainer and marketing lead for Basketball Society, an independent multimedia basketball brand.

Martin played high school basketball at South Brunswick High School (NJ) where he graduated in 2007. He is a 1,000-point scorer at SBHS and an All-Middlesex County performer as a 3-year varsity starter. He helped lead SBHS to their first-ever sectional state championship in 2007. Martin played college basketball at Eastern University, where he graduated (BA) in 2012. Martin was a four-year starter and a 1,000-point scorer at EU, and a 1st-Team All-MAC Conference performer. Martin spent time competing overseas in Barbados with USA Athletes International.

As the founder of Basketball Society, Martin has been responsible for the development of the brand and personnel. He oversees daily written content as an editor, takes lead on exclusive content, is the head videographer and skills development trainer. Martin has work experience in digital marketing, radio, and journalism.
