#84 Venture Capitalist on the Importance of Building Longterm Relationships

We have a very special guest in this episode. He’s a dyslexic venture capitalist from California, who has been open about his dyslexia story and how it helps and, in turn, affects him. He’s been featured in a TEDtalk where he shared why he can’t remember names and has appeared in podcasts and blogs too. Let’s find out more about the dyslexia story of David Hornik.

In this episode, David shares a lot of experiences throughout his life but one thing that he emphasized is the importance of building strong, long term relationships with people. At school, you don’t just read a book that the teacher gives you. It’s also important to work with people around. Appreciate what the teachers are doing and understand what they are expecting from you. He said if the teacher likes you, he most likely wants to see you succeed. These values stayed with him after school and now he treasures deep, meaningful connections with people more than money. Listen to the episode now.
