E3. Why Yoga is so beneficial to Pregnancy | Alecs Donovan

Your body in pregnancy is undergoing huge physiological adaptions and performing incredible changes in its dedication to growing and nurturing your baby. Caring for your body and mind during your pregnancy journeyis imperative to your wellness and yoga can form a key part of this. The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists recommends at least 150 minutes of moderate intensity exercise per week during pregnancy. Alecs Donovan, former Welsh rugbyinternational player, hasfound the concept of Pregnancy Yogability. This incorporates some elements of traditional yoga with functional movement and the foundations of strength and flexibility in a safe environment for pregnancy. Whether you are new toexercise, experienced or looking for a new way to nurture your pregnant body and help combat common aches and pains Alecs’s classes are ideal. Carefully designed flows help to prepare your body for birth and support you in having a pregnancy journey of complete wellness. I am thrilled that Alecs has joined me on this episode to explain more and share her comprehensive knowledge @alecsdonovan_1.
