Case Lawrence: From Silicon Valley to public service

In this Episode of Case Studies, we delve into the fascinating world of Case Lawrence, Case is the Founder and former CEO of CircusTrix (now SkyZone) which he launched in the aftermath of the financial crisis in 2008. This has created more than 5,000 jobs that support families all over the country. SkyZone is the largest owner, operator and franchisor of Trampoline Parks in the world and stands as a truly unique Utah success story! Although he retired as CEO in 2019, Case continues to be actively involved as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors. In 2017, Case was named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year; and in 2019, Case was named CEO of the Year by Utah Business.

Our conversation takes us back to the year 2000, a time when the internet was a burgeoning frontier, ripe with opportunity. Case reminisces about his days on Sand Hill Road, the epicenter of venture capital, where he rubbed shoulders with industry legends and witnessed the birth of companies that would go on to redefine the global economic landscape. His stories from this era, offer a rare glimpse into the heady days of Silicon Valley's modern gold rush.

But perhaps the most compelling chapter of Case's journey is his recent decision to enter the political arena as a candidate for Congress. This bold move is driven by his desire to leverage his entrepreneurial acumen for public service, aiming to bring about substantial change through innovative policies and a fresh perspective on governance. His campaign, rooted in the principles of entrepreneurship, emphasizes problem-solving, accountability, and the importance of adapting to new challenges—values that have guided him throughout his career.
