OCD with Natasha Daniels, Episode #81

OCD with Natasha Daniels, Episode #81

In this episode we are going to be speaking with Natasha Daniels, a therapist who specializes in anxiety and OCD and has an incredible online platform to support parents who have children struggling with anxiety disorders. This episode dives into the various forms of OCD, one of the top treatments for OCD "ERP, exposure or response prevention therapy, and how parents can sometimes inadvertently exacerbate their child's OCD symptoms through something called "parental accommodations." Accommodations are common for parents of anxious children to implement in order to alleviate their child's anxiety, while in fact they actually increase the intensity of anxiety and the avoidance response.
