Treasure Island - Chapters One and Two (Listen To Sleep Plus)

Treasure Island - Chapters One and Two (Listen To Sleep Plus)

This is a free preview of Listen To Sleep Plus. We just finished The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, and now we're starting Treasure Island.

You can subscribe to Listen To Sleep Plus at https://patreon.com/listentosleep. You'll get new chapters of Treasure Island over the coming weeks and then other longer books read serially in these Wednesday night episodes,

That’s 12 episodes every month for just $5 or about 40 cents each. Even less when you pledge your support for a year and get 10% off. And there’s zero risk. You can try it for 30 days and if you change your mind, just let me know and I’ll happily give you a full refund.

Here’s the truth about that 40 cents. It helps me continue to do this knowing that I’ve got a steady income from all of folks who are chipping in to keep the podcast going. We’re at just over 600 patrons supporting the podcast right now, and my goal is to get to 1000 patrons this year, which would allow me to make listen to sleep a full time endeavor. Your subscription to Listen To Sleep Plus puts me one step closer to reaching that goal.

#57 - Guest Artist - Squalloscope - The Story Of The Year - Bonus Episode

Anna Kohlweis, who makes music as Squalloscope, is the guest artist on this bonus episode. She gives a beautiful reading of Hans Christian Andersen's The Story Of The Year. She has been a favorite of mine since I first heard her in 2017, and she let me include her new single for you after the introduction and before the story. This episode is a little different and a real treat. I hope you love it as much as I do. Let me know! You can find Anna's beautiful art and music at http://squalloscope.com. #52 - Guest Artist - Andy The Doorbum - Prometheus And Pandora - Bonus Episode

#52 - Guest Artist - Andy The Doorbum - Prometheus And Pandora - Bonus Episode

Over the past few months, I reached out to some artists whose work I love and respect to ask them if they would be interested in reading to you. This bonus episode is read by Andy Fenstermaker, who makes music and poetry as Andy The Doorbum. He is full of heart and not afraid to dive into the darkness to shine a light or simply sit and wait for the sun to return. During the past few months of quarantine here in California, he put together a haunting and beautiful album of covers as a tribute to the music of some of his good friends. It's called Even When The Cat Comes and it's available for free at http://andythedoorbum.com. I love it, and I hope you do too. Andy reads Prometheus and Pandora. It's a classic tale with some very dark and real moments. Like some of the other stories I read here, it may not be suitable for small children, but if you like a bit of darkness as you nod off, you're going to love this. Andy also composed and played the music in this episode. If you’d like to read it yourself, you can download the story for free at https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/22693. Hosted on Acast.
