Last night Jane Fonda received a lifetime achievement award at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. The 87-year-old actress used the opportunity to deliver a politically charged speech. She didn't mention President Trump by name, but it was very clear who she was talking about. And thousands of federal workers are out of a job today and word is, more firings are to come. Some found out they had no job when they could no longer access their email. That's not the way to let an employee go. Plus, staff at a hospital in Pennsylvania are still reeling after a weekend shooting in the intensive care unit that left one police officer dead, and several hospital workers injured. The suspect - who was killed in the shootout - had recently lost a family member in the unit. And egg prices are expected to jump 20% this year, so people are going to great lengths to get them. If you saw this past weekend's Saturday Night Live anniversary special, you may have noticed how tightly packed the studio was. His dramatic appearance comes as the mother of three of his children is desperately trying to get his attention. She says he's not responding to her texts or emails - so now she's resorting to social media. And scores of people lined up outside a Manhattan court today for a seat inside court for an appearance by suspected HealthCare CEO assassin Luigi Mangione. Not guilty. That was the verdict --as a jury acquitted rapper Asap Rocky of felony gun charges that could have landed him in jail for more than 20 years. When the jury announced their decision, a joyful Rocky jumped over the courtroom rail and into the arms of his partner, singer Rihanna. And an Arizona woman is grateful to be alive today, after she was hit from behind by a cement truck and trapped inside her vehicle as it caught fire. Fortunately, two good Samaritans stopped. Incredibly one of them was an off duty firefighter who happened to have his gear with him. Plus, when that Delta jet flipped on landing in Toronto the other day - it was a combination of safety protocols and luck that no one died. But once passengers escaped the burning plane, there was a new concern: the bitter cold! Taking a cue from penguins, they huddled together - and it worked. And he is a huge supporter of the Democratic party and now he has words of encouragement for President Trump. Actor George Clooney is wishing the president well. The investigation continues into yesterday's plane crash in Toronto in which a Delta jet somehow flipped onto its roof after landing on an icy and windy runway. Plus, the Stanley Cup is the top prize in hockey. It is also the name of a wildly popular -- and pretty expensive - insulated drinking mug. And it's no surprise the drinking cups have become a target of thieves. And three and a half years ago, America was obsessed with the disappearance of Gabby Petito, the young woman who was murdered by her boyfriend while out on a road trip. Now, a new Netflix documentary reveals right before her death Gabby had reached out to her ex-boyfriend for help.
