Bitcoin Today Recast Bob Burnett April 1, 2025

Today’s space was another incredible discussion featuring Bob Burnett of Barefoot Mining. In the first hour, Bob broke down key aspects of Bitcoin mining, including mining pools, block template creation, hash rate, and chip manufacturing. He also made an important distinction between hashing and actual miners, along with several other insights. Bob is also watching a 12 foot aligator being wrangled in real time as this space is being recorded.

In the second hour, the conversation took a deep dive into the mechanics and implications of a 51% attack. Other Bitcoin mining professionals joined in to explore how such an attack could potentially manifest and the industry’s defenses against it.
