76. Boost Your SEO: Ditching Linktree for Personal Website Links

As podcasters, we all want our shows to reach as many people as possible. I want to share my message with the world and build a fan base that can't wait to tune in each week. But getting our podcasts to stand out in the crowded digital space can be challenging

I'm discussing strategies for boosting your search engine optimization (SEO) and driving traffic to your podcast website. They explain how using third-party platforms like Linktree and Milkshake may actually be detrimental to your SEO and searchability on Google. The first click on these platforms gives the boosted website a boost, which it may not deserve, according to Google's algorithms. Effective SEO requires directing traffic to your website.

If users are directed elsewhere, Google won't recognize your website as a source of traffic. This can negatively impact your SEO rankings.I suggest building your own Linktree or Milkshake on your website. This allows for more time spent on your website and people to click around and get to know you. It also provides more tracking options, allowing for retargeting and ad targeting.

In addition to discussing website traffic and SEO, I'll be providing tips for optimizing your podcast for SEO. I recommend having your podcast on a personal website as it provides another way for people to find the podcast without actively searching for it.
