Carol Taggart's 30 year old son Ross reported his mum missing. He explained that they had argued at the house they shared and his mum had stormed out and he was concerned as this was out of character. In the early hours of the morning, in Central Park in Plymouth, the bodies of Terry Sweet and Bernie Hawken were discovered lying just 200 yards apart in the park and it was clear that both had suffered a violent assault. The A1 (M) is a busy motorway, and at 6.17pm on a summers day there were a few issues northbound due to an earlier fuel spillage.
