This week on the UK True Crime Podcast, a Serial Killer.When Police Constable David Haigh was asked to deliver a summons to a poacher, it was quite a routine procedure for a police officers covering such a rural area. However, when the officer failed to return and couldn’t be contacted, his colleague PC Mick Clipston was sent out to find the missing officer. As he approached the tree lined, picnic area known as Norwood Edge he came upon a police car in a clearing at the side of the road with the doors open. As he got closer and parked he could see somebody was laid next to the car. Carradale is a village on the east coast of Kintyre, off the west coast of Scotland and looking over the west coast of the Isle of Aaron in the Firth of Clyde. The harbour at Carradale is sheltered and looks out at the deep waters of Kibrannan Sound and then the towering mountains of Aaron. It is a beautiful, peaceful spot and if you look carefully, you will see a small memorial plaque on the harbour wall, commemorating the crew of the FV Antares, who lost their lives at sea.
