The FA Cup Semi-Final ended in defeat as a disappointing first half saw the Reds concede a very early goal, as Man City threatened to overrun Nuno's team. The half-time introduction of Anthony Elanga almost paid immediate dividends but City scored a second straight away. Even then, the Reds hit the woodwork three times and forced an excellent save from Stefan Ortega, but Matz Sels also had to make some crucial interventions.
