#5 How I missed the october 31st deadline, and decreased my affiliate commissions percentage

Talking about failure, this is one. Clickfunnels, the program I'm promoting as an affiliate, has announced that they will decrease the affiliate commision percentage for those who don't make $100 sales by october 31st. Today is November 1st, and ... I didn't make it.

In fact, I only discovered Clickfunnels late september, and by the time I understood what this ecosystem was, few days went by. And I think I only discovered that there were that change on affiliate commissions planned by end of october. By the time I get my affiliate link prepared, understand how to create an offer through the One Funnel Away Challenge, it was already mid-october.

As most affiliates do, I posted my affiliate links on my social media hoping that someone would click and buy the course. As you can imagine, that didn;t happen.

So I setup an offer for malagasy diaspora, where I'll trade $100 worth of Madagascar-based products and cover the shipping anywhere in the world, but in exchange, they have to buy the course through my link. I was willing to pay the shipping costs, since I knew that if I made any sale, I'll recover the $100, so as long ad the shipping costs doesn't go up to $100, I lose nothing.

I thought that was a great plan. But I have a psychological issue when it comes to promoting on social media: I don't feel comfortable selling something from my personal social media accounts. I only had on person interested, but finally he didn't make the sale.

Anyway, that's one lesson learnt. Let's follow through on this journey
