The Important Role Nutrition Plays in Our Brain Health with Edward Park, Ph.D., Founder of NeuroReserve

Dr. Edward Park's father was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and Lewy Body dementia, starting when he was only in his 40s. It was devastating for the family and ultimately placed their family in a caregiver role. Dr. Park's family history of neurodegenerative disease ultimately led him towards looking at brain health and the powerful role that nutrition plays in reducing the risk of Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and other neurodegenerative conditions.

Dr. Edward Park is the founder of NeuroReserve, a preventive health and nutrition company focused on healthy brain aging. I enjoyed this conversation immensely. I learned so much from Dr. Park- he has the ability to take complex information and makes it easy for us to digest. If you have any interest in nutrition, brain health, and preventing neurodegenerative decline - this is a fascinating conversation you do not want to miss. Thank you, Dr. Park, it was a pleasure to talk with you!

Dr. Edward Park shares about:

  • The creation of NeuroReserve and the important role his father played in looking at brain health
  • How can caregivers prevent in themselves the decline they are seeing in their loved ones' health and brain health?
  • The ways we can take control of our own brain health
  • What do we need as a foundation for brain health
  • The science behind brain protective diets and the evidence of neuroprotective foods
  • If we or our loved one is already experiencing cognition challenges or memory loss- is it too late to supplement with nutrition? When is the best time to add this into our lives?
  • What are those nutrient gaps
  • The extensive team at NeuroReserve and their product RELEVATE

*NeuroReserve is graciously providing our listeners a discount code WILLGATHER for 15% off of the product RELEVATE when you order through NeuroReserve.com.

Edward Park is the founder of NeuroReserve, a preventive health and nutrition company focused on healthy brain aging.

Ed's family history of neurodegenerative disease (his father) ultimately led him toward brain health, where he realized the powerful role nutrition and dietary patterns can play in reducing risk of Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and other neurodegenerative conditions. This inspired him to develop the next generation of nutritional products to protect long-term brain health and cognition: expert-designed by leading neurology and nutrition researchers, data analytics-driven, and based on the best dietary evidence – philosophies that led to the founding of NeuroReserve.

Ed holds a Ph.D. in chemical and biomolecular engineering. He also holds a M.S. and M.B.A. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
