If you're a vegetarian, live a high-stress lifestyle and/or are over 50 years of age, there's a very good chance you need to supplement with vitamin B12. B12 is one of the few vitamins that our body doesn't produce on its own. If you don't eat or supplement with B12, you will develop a deficiency that could lead to anemia, nerve damage, mood and mental health problems.
