254: How Big is Your But?

254: How Big is Your But?

Hypnotherapy has been around since the 1950's, yet most people still think of it as a party trick. In reality, there is mounds of data to support the power of mind over body when in a suggestible, alpha state that is easily induced through hypnosis. Rather than losing touch with reality or leaving your body, hypnosis is actually a state of hyperawareness where you become more open to change.

Often used for weight loss, quitting smoking, and overcoming negative thought patterns, hypnosis can be a powerful tool in your mind-body wellness toolbox. Hypnosis itself doesn't cure addiction or force you to lose weight; instead, it helps you deal with your underlying issues, the root causes of destructive behaviors so change can occur naturally.

Listen & Learn:

  • Why hypnosis puts you into an alpha brain wave state
  • How to use positive affirmations to plant seeds for change
  • How meditation music, guided hypnosis, and at-home self-hypnosis can be very effective
  • Why your body has a negative memory bias and how to create positive anchors instead
