Ricky Johnson, David Harrington, and Clayton McGeeney were last seen alive on January 7, 2024, watching the final regular-season Kansas City Chiefs game at the home of their friend, Jordan Willis. Two days later, authorities found their frozen bodies outside the house. After a yearlong investigation, prosecutors charged Jordan Willis and Ivory Carson in connection with the deaths, which gained national attention. Both men face three counts of involuntary manslaughter and two counts of delivering a controlled substance. Police say Carson, known as "Blade Brown," supplied and sold cocaine to Willis and the victims. Investigators found Carson's DNA on a bag of fentanyl inside Willis' home. Willis and Carson remain in jail on a $100,000 cash bond. If convicted, they each face up to 10 years in prison. During the investigation, law enforcement initially said they did not suspect foul play. A toxicology report later confirmed that the men had cocaine, THC, and fentanyl in their systems. Police have since ruled the deaths as caused by "fentanyl and cocaine toxicity." As the case progressed, Willis moved out of the home and checked into rehab. A forensic analysis of Harrington’s phone uncovered text messages between Willis, McGeeney, Johnson, and others, linking Carson to the cocaine supply. DNA evidence identified Willis as a major contributor, and a second bag contained DNA matching Carson, confirming his role as the drug supplier. Now a lawsuit have been filed by a victim's family. Authorities post her picture on social media, print flyers, and alert the media, stating that Emily Pike is missing and may have run away. Nearly a month after Pike disappears, the Gila County Sheriff’s Office reports that searchers found the remains of an unidentified female in a wooded area near U.S. 60, about 20 miles northeast of Globe, Arizona. The remains are difficult to identify but appear to belong to a missing Native American girl. Within 24 hours, authorities confirm the remains are those of 14-year-old Emily Pike. The Gila County Sheriff’s Office reports that detectives found the head and torso in large contractor trash bags, while the legs were in separate bags. Investigators search the area but do not find the arms and hands. This information, meant for law enforcement only, reaches friends and family without warning. A preliminary autopsy report notes visible trauma to Pike’s face and head. Authorities do not find clothing, jewelry, or identification with the remains. The cause of death remains undetermined. Investigators believe someone killed Pike elsewhere before dumping her dismembered remains. Her arms and hands remain missing. The sheriff’s office says investigators recovered surveillance footage from Mesa, where Emily was last seen alive, but have not found footage from the rural area where her remains were discovered. Officials urge anyone with information to come forward. The San Carlos Apache Tribe is offering a $75,000 reward for information leading to Pike’s killer. Wendy Williams says she feels like she is in prison as she fights to end her court-appointed guardianship. Almost on cue, she may have proven her point when Coterie, the assisted living facility where she resides on the fifth floor, called police, claiming her niece, Alex Finnie, had kidnapped her. According to the report Coterie filed with the NYPD, Finnie evaded staff and took Williams out to eat at an Italian restaurant. After police were called, Williams and Finnie cited the incident as an example of how restrictive the guardianship has allegedly become. Speaking to paparazzi outside Coterie, Finnie noted that Williams’ guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, claims Williams can come and go freely and that no family visits are blocked. Finnie questioned that statement, pointing out that staff escorted Williams to the elevator, yet Coterie still called police. Williams told the interviewer, “Clearly, they are lying to me when they say I can go out and do what I want to do.” Williams claims she can only leave the facility’s fifth-floor memory unit with permission and an attendant to unlock the elevator. This week, a judge approved an emergency petition filed by Williams’ attorney to move her from what she calls a “luxury prison” to a less restrictive environment.
