If we can agree that our number one priority in life is to know ourselves (so we may consciously create this lovely life of ours according to our own desires and rules), then can we also agree that there will be times when knowing ourselves requires us to undo ourselves? To undo norms and habits we have that no longer are working for us. PAUSE Keep breathing, and let yourself just relax, just feel at peace. Enjoy it. PAUSE Now, imagine, if you can a scene from winter. Tall tree branches, bare and spiking toward the sky. A gray aura gently wrapped around the world. A chill embedded in the air. And, yet, there is a restfulness about the world, a quiet peace. PAUSE Now, imagine a time in your life when you needed to give yourself a space like winter, a space to rest, or heal, or just be at peace. PAUSE Now, breathe, and while breathing, set an intention to allow yourself to experience winter whenever you need to. PAUSE Breathe. And, imagine, if you can, a vibrant spring blooming all around you. Trees coming back to life with buds on them. Flowers opening in a kaleidoscope of color. A hint of warmth in the air. PAUSE Now, imagine a time in your life when you needed some energy like spring– feeling alive and vibrant. PAUSE Now, breathe, and while breathing, set an intention to allow yourself to experience spring whenever you need to. PAUSE Breathe, and, as you do, imagine a  warm, fun-filled summer. A time for gatherings such as picnics and barbecues. A time for vacations. A time to laugh and be outside. PAUSE Now, imagine a time in your life when you needed the fun and whimsy of summer– a time to just play or to get away. PAUSE Now, breathe, and while breathing, set an intention to allow yourself to experience summer whenever you need to. PAUSE Breathe, and, as you do, imagine a  beautiful autumn, with colored leaves, delicious apple and pumpkin, and feelings of joy and anticipation of the holidays. PAUSE Now, breathe, and while breathing, set an intention to allow yourself to experience autumn whenever you need to. PAUSE Take a moment and reflect on the seasons- how each season brings its own energy to you. And, remember,  the four seasons don't just live outside you;  they live within you. All you have to do  is call on them anytime you need their energy. Now and always. With each breath, feel the calm running through your body. PAUSE And, while in this place of calm, imagine digging up a time capsule. PAUSE Take a minute to observe the time capsule, looking at its color and shape. PAUSE After observing it for a minute, you notice how to open it. You pull a latch, and the capsule opens like a spaceship. PAUSE You place your hand into the time capsule and pull out an item from your past– a time of great change in your life. PAUSE Looking closely  at the item, think back  to the time period when the change occurred. Was it an easy change, or one filled with anxiety and pain? Allow yourself to keep distance  from any emotions related to the change. PAUSE Now, reach your hand into the time capsule, and pull out another item from a time of change in your life. Again, keeping your  emotional distance, think about this change. Did you handle it better than the other change? Or, maybe you handled it differently? Reflect on the two changes. PAUSE Now, as you reach your hand into the time capsule again, You pull out an item with a note. Interestingly, the item is not related to a change. It is a stopwatch. PAUSE You open the note and read: “This stopwatch will help you whenever change is too much. Just start it when you feel overwhelmed, and watch as your feelings fade with the passing of time.” “Then stop the watch  when you feel better.” PAUSE Now, visualize taking the stopwatch, and putting in an imaginary pocket that will always be with you. So, the next time that change is hard, you just need to pull out the stopwatch, start it,  and watch time  and your stress  pass by. A moment to let go of all that’s outside. PAUSE Breathe. Breathe, and go deeper  into yourself. PAUSE Now, allow yourself  to back to a time that was fun  and full of joy. It could be recently, or it could be many years ago. PAUSE Give yourself permission to see yourself  at this time. See how happy you were. What were you doing? Who was with you? PAUSE Now, take a deep breath, and let those feelings rise up in you now. feel that happiness. Stay with the happiness. PAUSE Now, breathe, and let that image fade into the background. And, as it fades, another time  when you were happy takes its place. PAUSE Again, allow the feelings of this happy time to become part of you now. Observe what you were doing and who was with you. PAUSE Take a deep breath, and let this happy time gently fade into the background. PAUSE Now, give yourself a minute to reflect on these experiences. What was similar about them? What was different? What can you use to boost your mood? PAUSE Now, take a moment, and acknowledge that these memories, your happy memories, have the power to boost your happiness any time you feel down. Remind yourself  that you have the power to bring them out Any time you need them. Your root chakra knows, When you clear this space, You’ll feel the tranquility. PAUSE… The shining lights of orange, Just inches above. Sensuality and pleasure. Breathe and clear it now, The sacral chakra holds, So much precious treasure.  PAUSE… Rise into the yellow, That shines your center, Personality, strength and power.  Relax your body deeply, Opening and releasing, To nourish and empower.  PAUSE… The heart center glows, With loving lights of green, Compassion, acceptance and love. Feel the energy flow, And your mind gently clear, You feel it from above. PAUSE… Light blue rays shine, And beam from your throat, Expression, inspiration, creativity. Imagine your mouth, Opening wide, Sharing your proclivities.  PAUSE… You see with your third eye, Indigo glows from you, Intuition, calm and trust.  Melt a little deeper now, Coming gently into you, You see alignment is a must.  PAUSE… The violet radiates and flows, From the crown of your head, Spirituality and enlightenment. Take a deep breath, And then let it go, The rainbow leaves you content.
