What Do Teens Need Most from their Parents?

What Do Teens Need Most from their Parents?

Are you more emotionally mature than your children?

Do you project your problems onto your kids?

Does your child feel like a burden or a failure?

These might be tough questions to think about but, according to a recent study, these are common things your teenagers might be thinking, but do not feel like they can tell you.

And don’t worry, you are not a bad parent, and this isn’t a generational thing. It doesn’t matter if you’re a boomer or a millennial, sometimes we can get so busy doing the day-to-day parenting, that we forget to pay attention and listen - truly listen - to what our kids are trying to tell us.

That’s why I’m doing today’s episode, which is all about helping you to understand what your teens really need from you, and giving you some practical advice which you can start using right away.

So pour yourself a cuppa, find a comfy seat, take a deep breath, and enjoy the conversation…
