S2 E8 - The One with the AI Interviewer - Martin Gale, usually the host

In this final episode of the series, the tables are turned.

For the first time on We Too Are One, host Martin Gale steps into the guest seat — interviewed entirely by AI. It’s something listeners have been asking for for a while, and it felt right to do it here, at the close of a series that’s explored neurodivergence from so many different perspectives.

Rather than interviewing himself, Martin chose to entrust the conversation to AI — something he works with every day, and something that has also become an unexpected support alongside his ADHD. With no scripted questions and no agenda beyond context, the interview unfolds as a reflective, open conversation shaped entirely by what the system already knew about him.

Martin talks candidly about his late ADHD diagnosis, the years of anxiety that preceded it, and the sense of relief that came with finally having a language to understand himself. He reflects on creativity, identity, leadership, work, and what it means to navigate a world that still struggles to make space for difference.

As a series closer, this episode brings together many of the threads explored throughout the season — belonging, environment, self-trust, and the importance of leaving things better than we found them.

In this episode, we cover topics including:

  • Late ADHD diagnosis and the emotional impact of reframing a lifetime of experience.

  • Creativity, identity, and the feeling of being a “side quest” in your own life.

  • Neurodivergence and work — and why traditional corporate models often fall short.

  • Microaggressions, trust, and the reality of invisible difference.

  • Using AI as both a professional tool and a cognitive support.

  • Why nuance, humanity, and environment matter more than ever.
