33-Sean MacMaster

33-Sean MacMaster

Most men don’t open up because they’re told to talk before they’re allowed to move.

In this episode, I sit down with Sean MacMaster, lead facilitator of Invictus CNY, a peer to peer men’s group out of Syracuse, NY that’s doing something different.

Sean didn’t start this work from theory.
He started it in middle schools, running the Building Men Program since 2012, and later brought the same principles to adult men.

Weekly brotherhood.
Ropes courses.
Physical challenge.
Play.

Because when men move their bodies, they stop hiding.

We talk about why play state creates honesty faster than forced vulnerability, how physical challenge lowers emotional armor, sobriety and accountability as earned leadership, and what boys and grown men are actually missing and how to give it back.

This isn’t therapy cosplay.
It’s real men doing real work together.

If you’re tired of carrying it alone, listen.
