In his own words:

I spent eight years in the United States Marine Corps Infantry from October 2003 - November 2011. I completed 2 combat tours to the most dangerous city in the world- Ramadi, Iraq with 2nd Battalion 5th Marines, Fox Company "Black Hearts." Numerous Humanitarian Aid missions throughout the Philippines, Thailand, Cambodia, Japan, and Bangladesh with 3rd Marine Expeditionary Force. I dedicated all of my fights to the military veterans, Fire fighters, and police officers who had to pay the ultimate sacrifice with his or her life for another ones freedoms. I also fight to promote awareness for veterans suffering from PTSD. I want to show that Mixed Martial Arts training can be an alternative therapy for those suffering with PTSD. They can take us out of the combat zone but they can not take the combat zone out of us. I want to thank all of the staff at Real Water, and Real MMA for giving me opportunities to prove my visions by doing something that I love to do. Finally, I want to thank GOD, my family, friends, coaches Guy Marzola, Kenny Marzola, Pete Martin, Leandro Lorenco, Michael Costa, Wanderlie Silva, Ninja Nick Wesley, Lance Parvin and the rest of my training partners from Wand Fight Team. Thank you for pushing me to be the best version of myself.
