Hr: Zima je bila oštra te godine.
En: The winter was harsh that year.

Hr: Snijeg je pokrio ulice, škripi pod čizmama ljudi.
En: Snow covered the streets, crunching under people's boots.

Hr: Marina i Toma sjedili su u bolničkoj čekaonici.
En: Marina and Toma were sitting in the hospital waiting room.

Hr: Na zidovima bijele pločice, iznad njih bliješte neonske svjetiljke.
En: White tiles on the walls, above them neon lights gleamed.

Hr: Velika stakla prostirala su pogled na snijegom prekrivene krošnje drveća.
