🎙️ Show 345 – Paul Thacker | No Name RC Podcast

In this episode of the No Name RC Podcast, Lefty sits down with Paul Thacker for a powerful long-form conversation about extreme sports, resilience, and finding a new competitive outlet through RC racing.

Paul is a former X Games snowmobile athlete known for massive world-record long jumps and freestyle riding. After a life-changing crash that left him in a wheelchair, Paul rebuilt his life, found new purpose, and eventually found his way into RC racing. This episode goes far beyond RC and dives into mindset, risk, recovery, and what it really takes to compete at a high level.

Inside this episode: • Paul’s journey from extreme sports to RC racing • The mentality of elite-level competitors • Life after injury and redefining purpose • Why RC is more competitive and mentally demanding than most people realize • The RC scene in Alaska and how it continues to grow • How storytelling and personalities can help grow RC as a sport

This is an inspiring conversation about overcoming adversity, staying competitive, and why RC racing connects with people on a deeper level than just lap times.
