Hr: U školskom dvorištu bilo je veselo i šareno.
En: The schoolyard was cheerful and colorful.

Hr: Cvijeće u punom cvatu uljepšava pogled, a zrak je ljetni, lagan i mirisan.
En: Flowers in full bloom enhanced the view, and the air was summer-like, light, and fragrant.

Hr: Učenici su se pripremali za proljetni festival.
En: The students were preparing for the spring festival.

Hr: Među njima su bili Luka i Ivana.
En: Among them were Luka and Ivana.

Hr: Luka je stajao na rubu dvorišta, promatrajući probe školskog benda.
En: Luka stood at the edge of the yard, watching the school band's rehearsals.

Hr: Bila je to njegova tajna strast - glazba.
En: It was his secret passion - music.

Hr: Bio je sramežljiv, povučen i nikome nije odao svoju želju da se pridruži bendu.

En: Soon the yard was deserted, only Ivana remained, tidying up the notes and humming softly.

Hr: Luka je duboko udahnuo i zaputio se prema njoj.
En: Luka took a deep breath and headed towards her.

Hr: "Ivana, možemo li pričati?
En: "Ivana, can we talk?"

Hr: " - rekao je, glasom koji je pomalo zadrhtao.
En: - he said, his voice slightly trembling.

Hr: "Naravno, Luka!
En: "Of course, Luka!

Hr: Što se događa?
En: What's going on?"

Hr: " - odgovorila je vedro.
En: - she replied cheerfully.

Hr: "Znaš.
En: "You know...

Hr: ja stvarno volim glazbu.
En: I really love music.

Hr: Volim svirati, i mislim da mi to ide dobro.
En: I love playing, and I think I'm pretty good at it.

Hr: Želio bih biti dio vašeg benda.
En: I'd like to be part of your band.

Hr: Svirati s vama.
En: To play with you."

Hr: "Ivana ga je gledala s iznenađenjem.
En: Ivana looked at him with surprise.

Hr: Ali ubrzo se nasmijala širokim osmijehom.
En: But soon she smiled a broad smile.

Hr: "To je divno, Luka!
En: "That's wonderful, Luka!

Hr: Sigurna sam da bi bio izvrstan dodatak našem bendu.
En: I'm sure you'd be a great addition to our band.

Hr: Pridruži nam se na audiciji, bit će zabavno!
En: Join us for the audition, it'll be fun!"

Hr: "Luka se osjećao kao da mu je ogroman teret pao s leđa.
En: Luka felt as if a huge weight had been lifted off his shoulders.
