40. Introduction to Profile

40. Introduction to Profile

In this episode, Kelsey introduces the concept of Profile in Human Design and the evolutionary process they represent. While Type, Strategy, and Authority describe how your energy moves, Profile reveals the archetypal character, the costume, through which your purpose is lived.

This episode offers a conceptual foundation for understanding where profile comes from and why profile adds nuance and texture to your lived experience without being something you need to “do” or optimize.

What's Discussed in this Episode:

  1. What Profile is and why it’s described as “the costume of our purpose”
  2. How profile differs from (and complements) Type, Strategy, and Authority
  3. Where profile comes from in the chart
  4. The relationship between profile lines and the I-Ching hexagrams
  5. The six profile lines as stages in an evolutionary learning process
  6. The distinction between lower trigram (personal) and upper trigram (transpersonal)
  7. An introduction to the archetypal themes of Lines 1–6
  8. Why we can all relate to every line, even if it’s not in our profile
