She describes learning about lipedema through a St. Louis NPR interview with Dr. Wright, using linked scientific resources to prepare her PCP, and receiving a quick diagnosis in 2022, followed by PT, decongestion, a Washington University metabolic study with MRI/DEXA and punch biopsy, and eventually five surgeries with Dr. Wright that improved mobility and reduced pain.
