For most it is easier to sacrifice something than it is for them to be obedient to the authority over them. For instance, you are willing to risk the chance of paying the speeding ticket but unwilling to obey the speed limits. Spiritually speaking, many of us would rather give to something, provide for something and sacrifice a little time, talent, or money than we would like to obey the commandments of God, even when He is directly telling us to do so.
