Story Transcript:

Sl: Sredi cvetoče pomladi, na močno utrjenem grajskem trgu, je vrvelo od dejavnosti.
En: In the midst of blooming spring, in the strongly fortified castle square, there was a bustle of activity.

Sl: Tam se je Matej s svojim prijateljem Luko izogibal naglici množice.
En: There, Matej and his friend Luka avoided the rush of the crowd.

Sl: Njegove oči so sijale z navdušenjem, saj je bil odločilni trenutek.
En: His eyes were shining with excitement, for it was the decisive moment.

Sl: V tednu pred veliko nočjo so se plemiči pripravljali na slavnostno pojedino, in Matej je želel impresionirati z redkimi začimbami.
En: In the week before Easter, the nobles were preparing for a festive feast, and Matej wanted to impress with rare spices.

Sl: "Velikonočni trg je letos še glasnejši," je rekel Luka, opazujoč dogajanje okoli sebe.
En: "The Easter market is even louder this year," said Luka, observing the happenings around him.

Sl: "Ampak ne bom lagal, ta naloga ni lahka, Matej."
En: "But I won't lie, this task is not easy, Matej."

Sl: "Prav imaš," mu je odgovoril Matej.
En: "You're right," Matej replied to him.

Sl: "Ampak sem slišal, da ima Jana začimbe, ki jih iščem. Pravijo, da je njena trgovina skrivnostna, vendar polna zakladov."
En: "But I've heard Jana has the spices I'm looking for. They say her shop is mysterious, yet full of treasures."

Sl: Zožen prostor med stojnicami je bil nabit z vonji sveže baze in eksotičnih začimb.
En: The narrow space between the stalls was filled with the scent of fresh flowers and exotic spices.

Sl: Ob stojnici kresničarjev je stala Jana, znana po svojem znanju in skromnem, a odločnem vedenju.
En: Near the lantern bearer's stall stood Jana, known for her knowledge and modest yet determined demeanor.

Sl: Bila je predmet govoric; vsak je vedel, da skriva nekaj.
En: She was the subject of rumors; everyone knew she hid something.

Sl: Matej se je ozrl k Luku.
En: Matej glanced at Luka.

Sl: "Naj vprašam Jano ali poskusim najti kaj drugega?"
En: "Should I ask Jana or try to find something else?"

Sl: "Bodi previden, ampak zdaj je čas," ga je pokvarljivo opozoril Luka.
En: "Be careful, but now is the time," Luka warned him playfully.

Sl: Matej je pristopil k Jani, srce mu je nekoliko poskočilo.
En: Matej approached Jana, his heart skipping a beat.

Sl: "Pozdravljena, Jana. Slišal sem, da tvoj izbor začimb očara plemstvo. Iščem nekaj nenavadnega za veliko noč."
En: "Hello, Jana. I've heard that your selection of spices enchants the nobility. I'm looking for something unusual for Easter."

Sl: "Pozdravljen, Matej," je odgovorila z medenim glasom.
En: "Hello, Matej," she replied in a honeyed voice.

Sl: "Imaš cel svet pred sabo, ampak redkosti... te niso poceni."
En: "You have the whole world before you, but rarities... they don't come cheap."

Sl: "Razumem," je rekel Matej in udaril po svoji volji.
En: "I understand," said Matej with determination.

Sl: "Pripravljen sem tvegati. Ponujam ti celotno zalogo svojih dobrin, če mi prodaš najboljše, kar imaš."
En: "I'm ready to take the risk. I offer you my entire supply of goods if you sell me the best you have."

Sl: Nad trg je legla tišina.
En: Silence fell over the market.

Sl: Jana ga je gledala, oči polne radovednosti in navdušenja.
En: Jana looked at him, her eyes full of curiosity and excitement.

Sl: "Pogumni si, Matej. Dogovor je sklenjen," se je strinjala in mu stisnila roko.
En: "You are brave, Matej. The deal is made," she agreed, shaking his hand.

Sl: Med pestjo ljudi, ki so kar topotali mimo, se je Matej obrnil k Luku, njegova samozavest je rasla.
En: Amidst the throng of people who were bustling by, Matej turned to Luka, his confidence growing.

Sl: Jana se je nasmehnila, zvedava za prihodnje skupne poti.
En: Jana smiled, curious about the future paths together.

Sl: Kasneje tistega večera, ko so se luči na trgu že ugašale, sta Matej in Luka sedla ob robu obzidja, z zadovoljstvom opazovala svetleče zvezde.

Sl: Zavetrje je prineslo sveži vonj cvetoče pomladi, skozi katerega sta še vedno odmevala pesem prodajalcev in navdušeno hihitanje otrok.
En: A fresh scent of blooming spring was carried by the breeze, through which the song of vendors and the excited laughter of children still echoed.

Sl: Matej je vedel, da bo letošnja velika noč posebna, ne le zaradi začimb, ampak tudi zaradi novega zavedanja o moči poguma in prijateljstva.
En: Matej knew that this year's Easter would be special, not only because of the spices but also because of a newfound awareness of the power of courage and friendship.
