010: The first conversation for current juniors when trying to get recruited...

In this episode we talk about college recruiting for current juniors who are just beginning, or are a few months into the recruiting process. First and foremost, block out the noise and know that this in YOUR PROCESS. Start, but don't rush it. Here are some takeaways I want you to consider...

  • It's about fit. Establish your pillars (region, proximity to a city, school size, academics, etc.)
  • Learn from conversations with coaches about what you want, and what you don't want
  • Speak up for yourself when trying to get recognized
  • Don't wait for them to find you

This is always the first conversation we are having with athletes. At the end of the day, everyone's process is different... but you have to start.
