268 - Kansas II & Noah Gragson: We Kicked Their Ass

It’s winner’s week on Door Bumper Clear as Freddie Kraft celebrates Bubba Wallace’s victory at Kansas Speedway with Brett Griffin, T.J. Majors, and Xfinity Series race winner Noah Gragson joins the show. They discuss Noah’s fifth win of the year, a prank war with former crew chief Dave Elenz, working with crew chief Luke Lambert, moving to the Cup Series next year, his not always so serious approach off the track and how he started racing. Freddie talks us through how Wallace came alive late in the race to take a commanding victory and shares what happened at the after party. Plus, hear how TJ nearly messed everything up.

To begin Spot On, Spot Off, the Xfinity Series race restarted with two laps to go in Stage 2 despite reports of rain. The guys debate if the track conditions were safe to make it to halfway and talk about a certain spotter and driver that didn’t want it to see go green.

Next, the guys discuss the 15 points separating 10th through 15th place in the playoff standings heading into the Bristol Motor Speedway cutoff race. Find out if they think another non-playoff driver can win and how aggressively drivers below the cutoff line need to race. Gragson shares his input on how he expects Bristol to race with the new car and how aggressive playoff drivers might be.

Kyle Busch reportedly signed with Richard Childress Racing for next season. The crew applauds RCR’s signing, questions the future of Kyle Busch Motorsports, and theorizes where Tyler Reddick will race next year.

Then, the gang talks about North Wilkesboro Speedway hosting the All-Star race in 2023. They predict how quickly the race will sell out and discuss FOX wanting the race’s location to rotate. Plus, Brett shares his insight on when the 2023 schedule will be released and what tracks could be losing races.

Kevin Harvick sounded off on drivers safety concerns with the Next Gen car at Kansas. Gragson explains why he applauds Harvick being outspoken, details crashes he's had in the car this season, and talks about how his concerns about wrecking are impacting his performance.
