Johnny Van Zant, Damon Johnson & Phil Mogg

Johnny Van Zant and Damon Johnson join Eddie Trunk to reflect on their recent performances at Brazil's Monsters of Rock festival. They share stories about Lynyrd Skynyrd's surprising global fanbase, with Johnny approaching 40 years of carrying his brother Ronnie's legacy. Damon discusses his transition from filling in for Gary Rossington to becoming a permanent member while balancing his revived Brother Cane project. The conversation highlights their upcoming summer tour with Foreigner and the creation of 'Prince Charming,' a moving tribute to the late Gary Rossington on Brother Cane's new album 'Magnolia Medicine,' which features both Johnny and Rickey Medlocke as special guests. After that, UFO's legendary frontman Phil Mogg opens up about the band's 1981 album 'The Wild, The Willing and The Innocent'. Phil shares fond memories of the recording process, the freedom they had in the studio, and how Paul's big personality meshed with Pete Way's equally larger-than-life character. Phil also addresses his health, explains why he has no interest in a UFO reunion despite planning new shows with Moggs Motel, and takes a cheeky shot at Michael Schenker's recent UFO tribute tour.
