Decolonization, Intersectional Privilege and Healing Collectives

A lot of people encounter healing via personal development or simply trying to relieve their own suffering. Where that is so powerful, just as powerful is also being able to speak about group stories, histories, and collective experiences, to feel in belonging with, solidarity with, and healing with a group. Wether it’s from imperial history, sexism, ableism, it can be very fruitful for everyone to have a lens of intersectional privilege/rank, to really allow us to digest and integrate the realities of healing but also meeting life sometimes face to face, and other times, with our face to the dirt.

This episode also covers some considerations and techniques when translating, shifting concepts (that is increasing our native tolerance) — that are commonly used for individual healing into speaking and leading processes for possibly smaller and larger groups. In many ways the task of caring for the world, is a world level work, in the same way the community takes care of the commons. We hope that everyone feels like they can engage with group stories, histories with more grace after listening to this very potent podcast.
