PARADE OF CHAMPIONS! 180K Fans Flock to Downtown Raleigh for Carolina Hurricanes Stanley Cup Parade

The 2026 Stanley Cup Parade in downtown Raleigh was a movie on Saturday morning/afternoon. Over 180,000 Carolina Hurricanes fans flocked to downtown to celebrate their champions. There were projections of 100K fans to show up; however, the Caniacs came out in masses for the Hurricanes. In an area that has college rivalries, the Hurricanes bring everyone together. On the Monday Edition of Locked On Hurricanes, Zach begins the show by sharing his thoughts on the Stanley Cup parade as a whole. The crowds, the noise, the overall celebration were something you had to be there in person to understand the magnitude of the event. It was single-handedly the biggest crowd for an event in the history of Raleigh. Caniacs officially put the hockey world on notice that Raleigh is a hockey city, point blank, end of story. That said, what were the overall vibes there? Secondly, Zach shares his thoughts on the Nic Deslauriers extension that was announced during the rally portion of the festivities. Apparently, only Rod Brind'Amour, Eric Tulsky, some of the Hurricanes staff, and Deslauriers knew about the deal. No one else had a clue.
