TCC #29: The Night Stalker - Richard Ramirez, Part 1

Sometimes, you just have to take on a big case, and very few are bigger in California True Crime History than the story of Richard Ramirez.
Richard Ramirez, otherwise known as the Night Stalker, was one of the most terriflying and prolific serial killers in California history, which is really surprising as he was also a total idiot, with no plan, no motive, no anything but rage and hatred, and a horrible, messed up brain (thanks to his traumatic childhood).
Part one of this two part episode takes a deep dive into that horrific childhood, focusing on both the nature and the nuture aspects of what made him the monster he was. And boy, is there a lot to focus on! His home life was awful, he was poisoned while in utero, and there were no adults he could trust, anywhere - not even at school!
