Bavarian Podcast Works S5E2: Should Matthijs de Ligt become Bayern Munich’s record signing + Omar Richards’ departure

Matthijs de Ligt wants to join Bayern Munich - that point has been clear by the player and his representatives. At this point, Bayern just has to negotiate an appropriate transfer fee with Juventus for the defender, but it is understood that the Serie A club want between 80 and 90 million euros for him. With that said, there is a VERY real possibility that de Ligt could become Bayern’s record transfer signing if a move does, in fact, materialize. In this episode of the BPW Flagship show, Tom and Fergus discuss:If De Ligt is worth becoming Bayern’s record signing. How would De Ligt fit in Bayern’s back line in a back four system.Would he bring enough to shore up Bayern’s defense.Omar Richards departing to Nottingham Forest. How do we backup Alphonso Davies now that O. Bavarian Podcast Works S4E36: Should Bayern Munich extend Brazzo? Mané, Lewandowski, and more incidents examined

For the first time ever, BFW is doing a three-person show! Hasan Salihamidzic has been a perennial subject of controversy at Bayern Munich, and with his contract set to run out next season, we decided to do a deep dive on his record and what he has achieved in his tenure as sporting director. With the Sadio Mané saga fresh in everyone’s minds, it seemed like a good time to finally tackle this issue. In this episode, INNN, Tom, and Schnitzel discuss:Our opening thoughts about Brazzo and how he has conducted his business at Bayern Munich. Does Brazzo deserve the flack he gets for failing to extend certain contracts? Talking about the communication issues at Bayern, especially the Robert Lewandowski saga. The Niklas Sule incident — what happened there? Going through everything from top to bottom. Criticism of Herbert Hainer and Oliver Kahn. How much of their failings are being blamed on Brazzo? INNN tries to come up with some redeeming points for Brazzo. Maybe he learned his lessons this season? What happened between Hansi Flick and Brazzo? Final question: Has Brazzo earned his contract extension yet? What more should he do? Bavarian Podcast Works: Weekend Warm-up Podcast Season 1, Episode 55 — The importance of the transfer of Sadio Mané ; diving into some Sasa Kalajdzic rumors; Robert Lewandowski might have to stay at Bayern; and MORE!

Bayern Munich made a big move official this week with Sadio Mané joining from Liverpool. He received a warm reception from the bosses in Munich. However, while the Robert Lewandowski saga was put on the backburner for a bit, this does not mean that that topic is by any means over. Both Mané and Lewandowski are discussions on today’s podcast which cover the following topics:Mané’s transfer can almost be regarded as a “status” transfer in that Bayern remains a hugely attractive destination.Robert Lewandowski might be forced to stay regardless of how he feels.Sasa Kalajdzic rumors persist; this might mean that Bayern might believe that there is a chance that Lewandowski will leave.Fans have short memories. Brazzo needs to keep up his streak of good transfers so far this summer. If Konrad Laimer is signed, Julian Nagelsmann’s job next season might get just a little bit harder. As always, we love your feedback and appreciate all the support!Be sure to stay tuned to Bavarian Podcast Works for all of your up to date coverage on Bayern Munich and Germany. Bavarian Podcast Works: Special Edition — Sadio Mane joins from Liverpool FC! (Reaction)

Bavarian Podcast Works: Special Edition — Sadio Mane joins from Liverpool FC! (Reaction)

Bayern Munich have completed the signing of Sadio Mane! The Liverpool FC winger joins on a deal worth €32m + €9m in add-ons, which looks like a great deal given the current state of the market. Helping INNN on this reaction show is Fergus, who makes his podcast debut! Be sure to welcome him warmly.  In this special edition podcast, INNN and Fergus discuss the following:Our first reactions to the Sadio Mane transfer — are we excited or cautiously optimistic?Does Bayern Munich need to sell either Robert Lewandowski or Serge Gnabry to afford their massive spending this summer?Could the Bayern board have done better with the money spent on Mane? Moving onto the actual positives (for a change) — does Mane’s arrival mean Leroy Sane is sent to the bench? How the player’s presence affects both the dressing room and mood of the fanbase overall. Where will Julian Nagelsmann use Mane? Where do we want to see him used? On the left with Alphonso Davies, or as a center-forward once Lewandowski leaves? As always, thanks for your support and let us know what you think!Be sure to stay tuned to Bavarian Podcast Works for all of your up to date coverage on Bayern Munich and Germany. Bavarian Podcast Works S4E35: Reacting to Bayern Munich’s trio of summer signings thus far and looking back at Germany’s Nations League campaign

Bavarian Podcast Works S4E35: Reacting to Bayern Munich’s trio of summer signings thus far and looking back at Germany’s Nations League campaign

We’ve reached a point where there’s a bit of a lull in competitive matches for both club and international football, but there’s been plenty of news to follow in terms of Bayern Munich’s activity in the transfer market. They’ve already secured the signing of both Noussair Mazraoui and Ryan Gravenberch from AFC Ajax while Sadio Mane’s move from Liverpool is a done deal pending his medical later on this week. The trio of players have certainly been positive additions to Julian Nagelsmann’s squad, though we still don’t know what the near-term futures hold for both Robert Lewandowski and Serge Gnabry.Germany also had a slew (four to be exact) of UEFA Nations League matches that gave Hansi Flick a chance to make some adjustments to his squad and get a good look at some players that he hasn’t had the chance to do so for in recent international breaks. They finished their slate of matches with a draw to Italy, a draw with England, a draw with Hungary and then an emphatic win over Italy to close out that round of fixtures. In this episode of Bavarian Podcast Works, Tom and Teddy discuss:The arrival of Noussair MazraouiThe arrival of Ryan GravenberchThe anticipated arrival of Sadio ManeHow the three signings will fit into Nagelsmann’s systemsHow often we think the signings will playBayern’s added depthGermany’s results in the Nations League matchesGermany’s future Nations League matches in September ahead of the World CupLearn more about your ad choices.
