Stop Explaining Yourself

Stop Explaining Yourself

Welcome back to the #BestMeEver Podcast, your personal safe space for inspiration, motivation and powerful stories and reflections. In this episode, we’re talking about something super important: Stop Explaining Yourself.

Have you ever found yourself justifying your choices, actions, or dreams to others, even when deep down you know you don’t need to? Well, I’ve been there, and in this episode, I’m diving deep into the reason why we feel this need and how we can finally break free from it.

I’ll share my personal experience of recently making a big decision to go back to school for my PhD and the flood of “Why?” questions I received. Honestly, it got me thinking about why I used to feel like I owed everyone an explanation. It wasn’t easy, but I’ve learned that sometimes, the best decision you can make is not to explain yourself to anyone.

I want to invite you to reflect along with me: What are the things you’ve been explaining or justifying to others that you don’t need to? And what would it feel like to just stop?

Whatever you’ve been through, whatever you're going through, and whatever’s still ahead. Remember, you don’t need to explain your life to anyone. You’re still on your way to becoming your #BestMeEver.
