Happy 250th Birthday America! For this year’s Fourth of July episode we decided to cover stories we felt were inherently American. Lauren kicks things off with the iconic Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest. She shares the history of the competition, its most famous champions, and the scandals that have surrounded the event over the years. Then, Kenzie takes a much darker turn with a story that has become all too familiar in America: a mass shooting. She explores the case, the investigation, and the lingering theories surrounding this unsolved mystery. Join us as we tap into our patriotism for this Independence Day Spooky Special!

If you have any information you can contact the Las Cruces and Dona Ana County Crime Stoppers for information that could lead to the identity of the two suspects believed to be behind the shooting. Tips can be shared anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Tips can also be shared online at NMCrimeStoppers.org or through the Crime Stoppers app, “P3 TIPS.”
