Stefanie Flippin on Keys to Improving Ultrarunning Fitness, Health, and Mental Strength

To be a better ultraunner, it takes more than simply stacking on more mileage or adding in workouts to your training. In fact, it requires you to be holistically healthy if you want to perform at the highest level.


For Stefanie Flippin, that has helped her go from middle-of-the-pack runner to an elite endurance athlete and notching up wins and podium finishes at some of the most competitive ultras in the US. And in this episode, she shares what's helped her, so you can improve your own ultrarunning fitness.


Stefanie Flippin is a professional ultrarunner for Lululemon, an endurance coach, and co-host of the Making Strides Podcast. She was the 2021 USATF 100-mile National Champion and has notched wins at Tunnel Hill and other competitive ultras.


In this episode, Stef shares the key pillars to staying physically and mentally healthy, her suggestions for improving your speed as an ultrarunner, and how to spice up your training regimine to avoid burnout.
