Fi: Mikko istui mättäällä, hengitti syvään raikasta metsän ilmaa ja katseli ympärillään kohoavia mäntyjä.
En: Mikko sat on a tuft of grass, breathed deeply the fresh forest air, and looked at the towering pines around him.

Fi: Ne näyttivät ulottuvan itse taivaisiin, ja niiden alla kasvoi pehmeä sammalmatto, kirjavanaan värikkäitä metsälehtiä ja kukkia.
En: They seemed to reach up to the heavens themselves, and beneath them grew a soft carpet of moss, scattered with colorful leaves and flowers.

Fi: Suvituuli leikki kevyesti puiden oksilla, ja lintujen laulu täytti ilman.
En: The summer breeze played gently on the branches of the trees, and the song of the birds filled the air.

Fi: "Täällä on niin kaunista", Mikko huokaisi mielessään.
