God Sets Before You a Choice — Blessing or Drifting Away

Today’s devotion from Deuteronomy 11:1–32 reminds us that God sets before His people a choice: the path of blessing or the path of drifting away.

Moses urged Israel to remember the mighty works of God—the deliverance from Egypt, the parting of the Red Sea, His provision in the wilderness, and His faithful care through every season. These were not distant stories; they were personal testimonies of God’s power, mercy, and faithfulness.

This message reminds us that remembering God’s works strengthens our faith and protects our hearts from spiritual decline. When we forget His goodness, we can become proud, distracted, and self-reliant. But when we remember His faithfulness, our love for Him grows deeper.

Deuteronomy 11 also teaches that obedience is not empty religion. True obedience flows from love. God calls us to love Him, walk in His ways, hold fast to Him, and teach His Word to the next generation.

The Promised Land depended on rain from heaven, reminding us that our lives also depend on God’s grace, provision, and care. His eyes are upon His people from the beginning of the year to the very end.
