Russia's UFO Encounters, Soviet UAP Files, and the Mystery Behind the Iron Curtain

What do Soviet UFO files reveal about Russian UAP encounters behind the Iron Curtain?

In this episode of UFO to UAP Explained, host Matt Tones begins the 8-part mini-series International UAP Sightings with a deep investigation into Russian UAP encounters, Soviet UFO reports, CIA intelligence interest, Cold War secrecy, and the mystery of unidentified aerial phenomena inside the USSR.

For decades, UFO and UAP history has often been told through American cases: Roswell, Project Blue Book, the CIA, AARO, Pentagon reports, Navy pilots, and U.S. military disclosures. But if the UAP phenomenon is global, the story cannot end in the United States.

This episode examines how Soviet scientists, Russian astronomers, U.S. intelligence analysts, and Cold War officials approached the UFO question. Drawing on CIA files, Soviet scientific conversations, reports of unusual aerial phenomena in the USSR, and the wider intelligence concern over whether UFO sightings could represent Soviet technology, psychological warfare, atmospheric events, military testing, or something genuinely unresolved, this episode explores one of the least understood chapters in international UFO history.

Were Russian UAP encounters hidden by secrecy? Were Soviet UFO sightings dismissed as rocket debris, satellite re-entry, atmospheric optics, or military activity? And what does the Iron Curtain reveal about how governments manage the unknown?

Follow UFO to UAP Explained for evidence-led investigations into international UAP sightings, Russian UFO files, Brazilian UFO cases, French UFO reports, Japanese UFO incidents, global military encounters, space program secrecy, and the worldwide mystery of unidentified aerial phenomena.
