Billy Sheehan, Wes Orshoski & John Bush

Billy Sheehan takes a trip down memory lane to celebrate the 40th anniversary of David Lee Roth's debut solo album, Eat 'Em and Smile. He opens up about leaving Talas for this opportunity, the audition process that brought Steve Vai and Greg Bissonette into the fold, and what it was like working with producer Ted Templeman. He also discusses his relationship with Eddie Van Halen, near-misses with joining Van Halen, and reflects on why this album still resonates with fans today. Following that, filmmaker Wes Orshoski sits down to discuss his documentary 'Di'Anno - Iron Maiden's Lost Singer,' chronicling Paul Di'Anno's tumultuous life and career. The film features an emotional reunion with Steve Harris, support from Metallica's James Hetfield, and shows how Iron Maiden fans crowdfunded Di'Anno's medical care. Orshoski reveals behind-the-scenes stories, including sneaking into the Harris reunion and the challenges of music licensing. Wrapping up the podcast, John Bush catches up about Armored Saint's killer new record Emotion Factory Reset, which debuted at number 36 on the Billboard Top 200. Bush discusses the band's second wave of success, their ability to push boundaries while staying true to their metal roots, and how they're bigger now than ever before. He also talks about the emotional experience of performing his Anthrax-era material at recent shows, upcoming tours with Metal Church and Testament, and the status of his Category 7 project.
