Episode 11: The Invisible Backbone of the Healthcare System

Caregivers of family members suffering from dementia, Alzheimers, or other long-term needs are the invisible backbone of the healthcare system in the United States. Currently, 53 million people are serving as caregivers to family members. As they give care, who is caring for them? Dr. Anna Thomas, a palliative care physician, joins us on this episode to discuss how caregiving is like leadership, and that leadership includes caring for their own needs.
