Grace for Each of Us, Gifts for All of Us | Matt Beasley

Ephesians 4:7–16 — "To each one of us grace was given." Gifts handed to each, for the good of all. Lead Pastor Matt Beasley continues A Study Through Ephesians at Severns Valley.

This is the hinge between the unity Paul has described and how we actually live it out: God's grace, given to each of us, empowers us to work together. Our gifts were never meant to make us feel useful — they're sovereignly placed for the benefit of the people around us, and used in love they build the whole body up.

A few things to carry into your week: - Grace is measured out to each of us — no one is left ungifted. - "It requires all of us to help any of us" — gifts are for the body, not the self. - If your gifts aren't operating for someone else's good, they aren't really being used. - God placed you in your church on purpose; gifts used in unity put the glory of Jesus on display — here, near, and far.
